January 20, 2021: REN Energy International Corporation (REN Energy) has launched a new website giving an overview of the company and detailed project updates on the building of a production facility creating Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) produced from wood waste.
Following the launch of the new website, REN Energy will be hosting a community virtual information session on the project which is set to break ground mid 2021.
The REN Fruitvale project features existing technology successfully deployed previously in Europe. Producing RNG, will reduce emissions where natural gas is currently being used to meet the increased demand for RNG in the CleanBC mandate for 2030.
At the virtual information session, members of the public and stakeholders will be informed how the plant will create an immediate annual economic impact in the Kootenay region. Future renewable energy projects will carry similar economic impacts regarding the creation of direct and indirect jobs, significant in-community investments providing a clean energy product.
The virtual information session is being planned for March 2021 and information will be posted on the website on how to register at rencorp.ca.
